These companies play off insulting other companies till customers no longer feel “safe” using those companies to meet their needs. Then the other company comes in for the kill, and tries to convince that customer to use their company to meet the needs left void by the other company. It’s an unethical, sickening, and cruel business practice but it is often done at the expense of other business.
